SESSION PREPARATION
SKIN
Exfoliate your skin on the morning of your photoshoot. I love a mixture of granulated sugar and a fresh lemon! You should arrive at the studio with a clean face free of all cosmetics and moisturizers.
Please don't get a spray tan. If you do, realize your hands and feet will look exactly like you see them. Editing a spray tan is nearly impossible on fingers and toes and while it can be done on a wall portrait, it's time consuming and costs $100 per hour of retouching.
Please have your eyebrows groomed and any facial hair a few days before the photoshoot.
HAIR
You should arrive at the studio with clean dry hair. Make sure your roots are touched up prior to your shoot.
NAILS
Hands play a very important role in your portraits. I always pose your hands as well as your feet and the rest of the body. Make sure your nails are trimmed neatly. If you paint them, use a nude, neutral color. If your nails are polished a bright color, you will be asked to remove the polish before we begin the photo shoot.
