Growing up in a small town isn't what people think it is when you aren't from one. It's not about what you DON'T have or get to experience, it's what you DO have, witness, and experience that makes you appreciate where you grew up. If you know Gabby at all, you know she loves her community. She loves her town, her school, and will miss being a senior, here's why. . .
"What I’m going to miss most about being a senior is the relationships I’ve built with everyone over the past 4 years. From teachers to fellow students to even our principals, it’s always great to see a familiar, smiling face, and even though I know some of these relationships will carry on to college, there’s nothing like actually being in the halls of Floyd central, but I am still so excited for this next chapter of my life!"
Gabby will attend Alice Lloyd College in the fall, and plan on majoring in Communication Studies, and after that plan on getting a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology.
In Gabby's own words, "I have grown up seeing people take pictures with Suzanne and have always loved how she was able to take such beautiful pictures of every single one of her clients, but also capture their personalities, and I knew that’s the experience I wanted also. So as soon as she started taking seniors from the class of 2022, I booked my session. I was shy in the beginning because I had never really had professional pictures taken of me, but Suzanne made me feel comfortable in front of the camera and made me feel good about myself to the point of where I wasn’t nervous anymore, and that’s what I loved so much about her.
My favorite part of my session was taking pictures with my car. This was honestly all I was worried about the whole day, ask Suzanne, my mom, or anyone else who was there. Suzanne made sure I got those pictures with my car, and they turned out better than I could’ve ever imagined! The whole experience was wonderful and I am so grateful for Suzanne Deaton Photography!"
Gabby is an avid reader, in fact, it's her favorite way to spend her free time. Her favorite books right now are anything Nicholas Sparks, in particular, "A Walk to Remember."
