Need Reasons to Get Back In Your Wedding Dress?
The wedding may be over and the dress stored away, but, have you ever thought about getting it back out and doing a new photoshoot? Â
Actually, I really hadn't given this idea much thought since I put my wedding dress away over 32 years ago, until Sarah, my sweet, former senior, asked if I was interested in a studio photoshoot of her in her wedding dress!Â
I jumped at the chance! We discussed many reasons why a bride may want to revisit her beautiful wedding attire! I mean, seniors put their prom dresses back on right? They even trash them!
Why not create something totally different from your wedding day?Â
This got me thinking about what ARE the best excuses, LOL, reasons, to put your gorgeous wedding dress on again?
Â
1. Weight Loss or Major Changes in Your or Your Groom's Appearance
With all the new weight loss drugs on the market, pounds are falling off quicker than you can blink. If you are feeling much better about your waist line, this is the perfect excuse to have bridal portraits made.
2. Money Was Tight On Your Wedding Day and You Didn't Budget for Photography
Being the owner of a studio for over 20 years now, I have heard it so many times from new parents in their mid to late twenties, "We just didn't have the money to spend it on a good wedding photographer."Â Â
If that's the case, we would love to invite you to the studio where we can create a magical, custom designed bridal shoot for you and your husband.Â
Fine Art inspired, we will recreate light and airy or dark and moody images that are totally different from your church wedding pictures or your outside venue.Â
Â
3. Maybe You Would Like to Try Different Hair and Makeup
Was your wedding day 100 degrees in the shade? Maybe you would like to have images where the sweat isn't pouring down your face and your eyes aren't squinting from the sun? If the answer to either of these questions is yes, then a studio wedding shoot is perfect for you.
You can forego the updo and let your locks flow! We can blow your hair with a beautiful fan, soften your makeup or even glam it up more than you are used to. Â
Â
4. Maybe You Want a Different Location
Maybe you had the ever so popular destination wedding and want to incorporate a location closer to home! Â
Maybe your beach wedding was absolutely stunning, with waves crashing around you at sunset, it doesn't mean you won't appreciate a beautiful studio portrait of you and your hubby.Â
Or, maybe you got married in a church and you want me to take you to a beautiful mountain top, I know of many in Perry County! Â
5. Perhaps You Have Always Wanted to Shoot with a Different Photographer?
Maybe your wedding photographer has a totally different style, vibe, editing technique and you want to see what you would look like from some other portrait artist's perspective?Â
I think this is my favorite reason to photograph newlyweds again!Â
And hey, you don't even have to be a newlywed. It could be your 10th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY coming up! Why not celebrate your continuing love with a new portrait? Â
Now, let me tell you a little about Sarah and Cole. They met in high school, but, didn't date until much later in college.Â
I have known them for many years. I have photographed them both, many times before. I think Cole was 8 when I met him :)Â They were both former High School Seniors, both could be models with their perfect dimples, and in fact, Sarah has modelled for me before.
Really, guys, if you had just asked me back then I could have been a match maker and saved you all the trouble of dating other people because you are a perfect match for each other!
Sarah went on to become a Nurse Anethesist and Cole is getting ready to do his Surgery Residency and become a General Surgeon!
Congratulations to you both.
I am honored you asked me to photograph you. Here's to many more photoshoots in the future!
