That is 11 hours of defending choices extended by an additional 2 full weeks of voting and discussion before they even got to the elimination round and zoom calls to finalize the winners!"

BLACK AND WHITE
This image of Allie Campbell from Hazard, Kentucky, was taken during her senior prom session in 2019. Allie's gown had all the qualities that made it stand out in the black and white category: dramatic lines, dark colors, and a striking pose! Of all the images I submitted, this one I felt in my bones was an attention grabber.Â
Allie continues to inspire me, she often is requested to do senior makeup for my other clients so if you want to find her on insta for your next photo shoot: @allie_campbell12Â Â

STUDIO
AHHHHHHHHH, studio portraits, probably the most recognizable of all my work, creating jaw dropping studio images is what I am most known for. Both of these images were created during regular, but still luxurious, senior sessions. Â
Myra Jo Davis, in red, brought her gorgeous red romper for her session. I always strive for color harmony between my subject, fore ground, and background. This takes an image from ordinary to extraordinary in a flash. We added the window made of plexiglass and saturated it with water for the final touch. I have been photographing Myra Jo since she was a baby, so she was at ease when we decided to create something outside the box.Â
The other image in blue is of Emma Johns, a 2020 senior from Pikeville High School, and also Miss Teen Kentucky 2019. Again, we emphasized all the blue tones in her image to create the perfect harmony between her outfit and the background, and well, she knows how to BRING IT every time with her expressions. The camera loves her and so do I!Â
URBAN
I am so glad this image was chosen as one of the HOT 100!!!!!!!  What's more urban than a street in New York City before a Broadway show? Allie and I literally "stopped traffic" when shooting this image. I added touches of motion blur in photoshop once I was back in Hazard. Â
